Bring Dylan back to 90210...

I like all SANE fans of Beverly Hills 90210 were dismayed when they revealed DYLAN to be the father of Kelly's son Sammy. Dylan and Brenda are by far the better couple and I can't stand Kelly unless she was with Brandon and that's only cause Brandon can make anyone bearable (except Emily Valentine). So I think the writers needs to correct this terrible mistake in season 2, casually slip into conversation that she slept with both Brandon and Dylan and just presumed he was the father. Bonus points if both Jason Priestly and Luke Perry actually show up. Double bonus points if we have a Dylan/Brenda hook up!

In other news, Jimmy Fallon is trying to reunite the cast of Saved by the Bell, Mark Paul Gosselaar's interview as Zack Morris was so beyond awesome. Tiffani Theissen should definitely participate, i adored that show and would love a reunion, that or have her show up back in good ole West Bev, i loved her as Val and as Kelly!

Anyone out there agree with me?

Trash Mags, Ain't what they used to be!

I, like most, love to read trashy celebrity gossip mags, my favourite being OK! and Famous. But i  have been infuriated over the last few weeks with the magazine reporters obviously having no idea what the hell they are talking about. Both incidents were with Nikki Reed, one photo showed her hanging out with Michael Angarino (or however it is spelt) Kristen Stewarts boyfriend, but he was labelled as a mystery date. The other photo of Nikki with Vanessa Hudgens had a short article about how the 'new friends' were hanging after VH missed a role in New Moon, hello they starred together in Thirteen like 6 years ago!

Come one paps, do your damn homework!

Zac's Out of Footloose Remake!

There is a God and he answered at least one of my prayers. I am so very glad to know that Zac Efron wont be attempting to bring Ren McCormack to the screen once more. He is way too preppy to pull off the awesomeness of the character. If this cans the entire production i will be thrilled. What's with the recycling of all my favourite movies from childhood. The Neverending Story?  The Karate Kid? One thing, karate is japanese, having Jackie Chan as Mr. Miyagi is wrong on so many levels. What's next? A remake of the breakfast club? Are we going to be watching someone massacre the wizard of oz?

STOP REMAKES!!! GET NEW IDEAS!!! FOR THE LOVE OF CINEMA STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES!!!

The Best Part of Uni...

I love my friends, i really do- why would i be friends with them if i didn't? But it is sometimes infuriating trying to have conversations with them about certain things, in my case literature and my obsessive knowledge of pop culture. Today was my first day back at Uni- 3rd year; where did the time go and can i get it back? I'm doing my pre-honours course and ended up hanging out with these two guys; Sam and Tom. And it was awesome we could talk about Dorian Grey, Of Mice and Men and Salenger and we all had opinions and recommendations for everyone else! It was great just being able to be absolute nerds about books! Tom and I both have a thing for British Comedies and he made me promise to watch this movie that he loves. I love that about Uni- everybody is there because they wont to be and you are not a freak if you want to spend copious amounts of time spouting the virtues of the catcher in the rye! Plus any two guys that will come to Dairy Bell and eat massive amounts of ice cream with me are instantly awesome.

My Lecturer is kind of an idiot- the class has at least 40 people and we had to play that stupid game- my name is paul and i'm bringing a pineapple... guess who was lucky last? It was really quite sad that so many people brought boring stuff; there were some stad outs- Beau; beatles record, helen; helicopter, sam- surfboard, tom- trampoline. and I of course am Holly and i bought hookers- every party needs some spicing up. I can only help my class on wednesday will be as fun as today. And considering my Uni is known as the party uni its kind of a must.

Just When I Thought All TV Execs Were Brain Dead...

News has come through that 5 of my shows have had early renewals =) The fate of Supernatural, Smallville and Gossip Girl were never really in doubt but thankfully TV Execs have seen the light and also renewed my favs One Tree Hill and 90210- A very guilty pleasure. I know that it is just a poor remake of the very awesome earlier show but i live for the cameos of previous stars, having Brenda back rocked although I'm still hurting that Dylan is Sam's Daddy and not Brandon...he's married hopefully not to mental case Emily Valentine! News has it Donna's back for an episode without David- no surprise he's kicking butt on Terminator which by the way I'm also hoping for a renewal if only for how hot he is and how much i adore Summer Glau, however if it is axed please keep Dollhouse and put her in there. Dollhouse second episode was awesome and proved why I love any collaboration of Eliza Dushku and Joss Whedon.

Other shows I'm hoping for renewal include;
- Dollhouse
- Everybody Hates Chris
- Heroes
- How I Met Your Mother
- Chuck
- Psych

You have already robbed my of Kyle XY please don't hurt me anymore *sob*

The Oscars: A Biased Recap

As an Aussie and major Heath and Hugh fan i was always going to love this years Oscars. For one thing we have been promised these Oscars will be like no other...Hugh certainly delivered that. I am the first to admit i love musicals; if my life were a movie it would be a musical, hence by opening the show with a musical number that not only poked fun at or as us Aussie's say; took the piss out of, the economy, the industry and of course, himself. 'I AM WOLVERINE!' From there they introduced the awards in an entirely new fashion; bringing out 5 past winners for past supporting actor/actress including some of my fav (*cough*CHRISTOPHER WALKEN*cough*) Then awesome sets, Jennifer Aniston, Jack Black and of course the always awesome Will Smith rockin out, of only he had gone 'Aw Hell No!'

Heath Ledger won the Oscar, of course. There will always be those negative people that will say he only won because he died. Watch the damn movie, it was obvious from his performance that he would win, Michael Caine spoke of it BEFORE he died. I cried when his family accepted the award, it was definitely deserved, anyone who was seen him in films like Two Hands, Monster's Ball or Brokeback Mountain will agree. Why is it that it seems the best die young?

Congrats to Meryl Streep on 15 nominations; I am yet to watch one of her movies and hate it. Not many women of her reknown would make a movie like Mamma Mia! in the same year as Doubt. In fact i don't think many actresses have the range and likeability to make both, let alone the talent. So what if she wasn't the worlds best singer, her love for the part and her energy was what made the movie fun, oh and Dominic Cooper really helped too *drools*

Did anyone else want to roll their eyes when Jennifer Aniston was presenting and the camera practically gave us all whiplash in its haste to get to Brangelina? Brad was of course watching intently and Angelina gave the performance of her life looking carefree and not like she wanted to kill Jen... but again i'm biased, totally Team Aniston. Robert Pattinson and Amanda Seyfried presented a short reel of Romance of 2008 and a lot of movies were included, i actually thought there banter was cute, 'I had to become a vampire to find love'...'well i three fathers', Twilight of course had at least 3 different videos throughout the reel but also included was Sarah Marshall, Mamma Mia! and HSM3. My other favourite presenters were definitely James Franco, Seth Rogen and the DP, their short was very funny, but then again i've been a sucker for Franco from early on. Many forget the awesomeness that was the Rogen and Franco team on Freaks and Geeks. I, of course crushed on Franco in his god awful teen flick phase where he made the movies whatever it takes with another one time crush Shane West (Pre AWTR).

Ben Stiller mocking Joaquin Phoenix wasn't funny and Natalie Portman trying to banter with him was just awkward. He said he wants to stop making funny films, here's my question when did he start? He was funny...ten years ago. Honestly the last film of his i really liked was Heavyweights and i saw that bak in '96. I watched Dodgeball and hated it because all i could see was him ripping off his old character. Here's the really kicker- Heavyweights? Written by Judd Apatow before he was Judd Apatow

THE FASHION
Some of the dresses were just GODAWFUL, i had my own favourites including the gorgeous Evan Rachel Wood in her glam self, though i am seriously girl crushing on her after watching Across the Universe, i really wished that all we needed was love!
Melissa George in her white fishtail gown was so beautiful! I really liked Amanda Seyfried's red dress and necklace as well.
I absolutely hated some of the dresses including the white one that looked like a toilet roll and Tilda Swinton who i think was born without a sense of style and never invested in a mirror. I have never seen her in an outfit that i liked.

IN REVIEW
I'm giving this years show two thumbs up. Hugh was delectable, Heath won like he deserved and the actual show was watchable. Even if they did rely on tin foil and empty toilet roll holders to make some of the sets =P
